Dogecoin (DOGE) Price Skyrockets 40%

Dogecoin (DOGE) recorded over 21% jump on Thursday after Elon Musk visited Twitter’s San Francisco HQ carrying a sink, hinting to close the acquisition deal before the October 28 deadline. Musk told Twitter employees that he isn’t planning to cut Twitter staff by 75%.

The DOGE price has again jumped 10% in a few hours, recovering from an earlier fall due to a market-wide correction. Until now, Dogecoin price recorded over 40% increase in a week. After the successful completion of the deal, former Bloomberg columnist Noah Smith tweeted Elon Musk should shift Twitter headquarters to Oakland from San Francisco. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin responded that Twitter HQ should be moved to Switzerland. The country is home to “Crypto Valley,” a cluster of companies and foundations in Zug.

Twitter executives including CEO Parag Agrawal ve CFO Ned Segal resigned after Musk officially takes over Twitter. Some reports also reveal that Musk indeed fired Parag and escorted him out of the building. Others include Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal, policy and trust, and Sean Edgett, general counsel also resigned.

With the resignation of Agrawal, Elon Musk will be the new interim CEO. He also announces reinstating accounts of suspended users, including former U.S. President and businessman Donald Trump. Moreover, Twitter will introduce a feature that allows NFTs to directly display on feeds. It will ease NFT buying and selling.

Meanwhile, Musk’s plans on introducing Dogecoin on Twitter remain uncertain. However, the Dogecoin community is optimistic about Musk announcing some plans soon.
